How to format USB Flash Drive with CMD

Last time we learn formatting USB Flash Drive using windows well. This time The Command Prompt (cmd) is on the go. It is very basic to used cmd and can only take you same minute to format.


Format USB using Prompt command (CMD):
1.Connect or Plug in your USB flash drive in your PC then

2.Click Start > Type Run... and CMD Press Enter


                           

3.The command prompt window appear.


4.On your command prompt screen type cd..


5.Until become this as show in the image below


6.Then type the word "Windows" > C:\>cd Windows


7.Follow by this "C:\Windows>cd System 32"


5.Then C:\Windows\System32>format j: and will ask you to insert a new disk then press enter



6.If you want to format it as FAT32 type:"
format J:/FS:FAT32"

7) After typing one of the above commands, press Enter

8) When it asks for pressing Enter again, just press it to confirm.

9) It will prompt you to enter a name for the drive, write it and hit Enter.


Now you have it, you can now use your USB flash Drive.
